Born in England; raised in Canada, Ralph has worked extensively on both sides of the Atlantic during his music career.

His first #1 song in Europe was "Call My Name" by James Royal in
1966. After several years as an artist and producer, Ralph moved to New
York in 1969 to produce the band April Wine and had two gold albums and
one platinum.

In 1971, Ralph had his first country hit in Nashville with "Good Enough To Be Your Wife," #2 for Jeannie C. Riley.

Other hits include "He Got You" for Ronnie Milsap and "Half The Way" for Crystal Gayle.

He is now Vice President for ASCAP Nashville.

Paul Worley was in the Music Business Radio studios today.

Paul’s career covers 30 years as a musician, publishing executive (Sony / ATV / Tree), record company executive (Sony Music Nashville, Warner Bros. Music), and freelance record producer.

He's produced acts like:

Martina McBride

Dixie Chicks

Sara Evans

Collin Raye

Big & Rich

Lady Antebellum

Marie Osmond

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

We talked how Paul went from fetching coffee and sweeping studio floors to producing records. We talked about the changing face of the music business. And we reviewed demos...one of which Paul liked so much that he took it home with him.

Show is currently being edited and will air shortly.

The "Post-Show Show" is a new part of the Music Business Radio podcast where David, Dan (Engineer), and Gary (Producer) sit down after recording the broadcast show to chat about what happened. This is often stuff that doesn't make the cut or isn't fit for broadcast radio.

The Post-Show Show is not edited...as you'll soon find out. It's a totally different vibe and very laid back.

In the future, the Post-Show Show will be released before the full episode, just to give you a taste of what you'll get when you listen in that week. Or maybe not... After all, it is the POST-Show Show, and it's very laid back...so we'll probably just release it whenever we feel like it. Want to keep you guys on your toes! :)

etown is a weekly radio broadcast heard from coast to coast on NPR®/public, commercial, and community stations. Like old-time radio variety shows, every etown show is taped in front of a live audience and features performances from many of today's top musical artists as well as conversation and information about our communities and our environment.
